Due chitarristi che rappresentano il Rock’n’Roll italiano nel mondo e consacrati come virtuosi dalla stampa specializzata internazionale, affiancati da una base ritmica eccezionale composta da Massimo Conti alla batteria e Tommaso Faglia al contrabbasso.

Marco Di Maggio è ormai una leggenda vivente delle 6 corde, mentre Simone Di Maggio a soli 23 anni ha gia’ all’attivo concerti in tutta Europa ed Asia ed ha gia’ realizzato 2 albums recensiti entusiasticamente dai media internazionali.

Il quartetto propone un repertorio esplosivo dove le due chitarre gemelle sparate a velocita’ supersonica s’intrecciano in riff micidiali sostenuti da una batteria selvaggia ed essenziale e dal percuotere incessante del contrabbasso e del basso elettrico.

 Lo stomp tribale, il beat ipnotico del mix di Surf, Spy, Neorockabilly, le timbriche twang e taglienti delle due chitarre accompagnano il pubblico in un viaggio virtuale a meta’ strada tra le colonne sonore dei films di James Bond e Tarantino, la frontiera tex-mex e lo sbarco sulla luna, un trip spazio-tempo sull’onda sonora del tuono…The Thunder Twins

MARCO DI MAGGIO, chitarrista /cantante, è considerato dalla stampa internazionale quale uno tra i maggiori esponenti di questi stili musicali. Ha realizzato 10 cd prodotti in Usa, Germania, Finlandia, Italia, oltre ad un video didattico molto apprezzato. Si esibisce nell'ambito dei principali festivals mondiali, fra i quali: Viva Las Vegas (USA), Green Bay Rockin' '50 Fest (USA), The Rockabilly Rave (UK), Munchen R'n'R Fest (Germania), Summer Jamboree (Italia) ed effettua tournee’ anche in scandinavia, Russia, Cina, Hong Kong. Ha collaborato con oltre 40 artisti leggendari, come D.J. Fontana (batterista di Elvis Presley), Terry Williams (batterista dei Dire Straits), Robert Gordon. Compone e arrangia colonne sonore per importanti film e spots pubblicitari ed uno dei suoi brani è stato inserito in una puntata della celebre serie Tv americana Friends.

SIMONE DI MAGGIO, chitarrista/cantante, grazie al suo precoce talento si è imposto all'attenzione della critica italiana ed europea del settore, realizzando il suo album di esordio con l’etichetta tedesca Vampirella Music,  "Everybody's movin'" a soli 15 anni. Il suo curriculum vanta già numerose apparizioni ad importanti festivals europei quali: Planet Festival (Parigi, 2003), Milwaukee Confidential (Milano 2001), Country-Rockin' Fest (Certines, Francia, 2003). Nel 2002 forma gli Astrophonix,  Rockabilly/Surf band con la quale s'impone nuovamente all'attenzione dei media esibendosi nei migliori music clubs italiani e nel 2007 incide l’album “Suspended Time”, prodotto da Thunderball Rec./Area Pirata.

Nell’aprile del 2008 effettua una tournee’ in Cina e Hong Kong dove si esibisce con Marco e i Thunder Twins, oltre ad accompagnare come guest  la Di Maggio Connection.

MASSIMO CONTI

Alla batteria Massimo Conti alias “Scintilla”. Dopo aver studiato con i migliori batteristi toscani in ambiti Rock, Jazz, Pop, Massimo inizia, nella prima meta’ degli anni ’90, diverse collaborazioni con molte band dell’ underground Pop-Rock fiorentino come: Meridiana, Noia, Progenie, Aliseo, con i quali effettua molti concerti in giro per l’ Italia. Nel 1996 entra a far parte della compagni Kaspar Hauser con la quale rappresenta in tutta italia il musical “Rocky Horror Picture Show” fino al 2003. Successivamente entra a far parte della Grunge band “Pearl Pusher” con la quale svolge un intensa attivita live. Collabora anche con: Marco Di Maggio, Alessio Colosi, Ratoblanco e Tell Mama, prima di entrare nel 2007 a far parte degli Astrophonix.

TOMMASO FAGLIA

Tommaso e’ sicuramente uno dei piu’ giovani e talentuosi contrabbassisti r’n’r italiani. Dopo varie esperienze in diverse band rock dell’underground fiorentino, entra a far parte della band di Giuseppe Povia, con il quale si esibisce in tutt’Italia e nell’ambito di manifestazioni internazionali quali il Live8 e CocaCola Live @ MTV.  Ha partecipato ai tour di Camera Migliore, Train De Vie, Marco Di Maggio e molte altre band del circuito Rock’n Roll  con le quali approda alla tecnica slap contrabbassistica mettendo in mostra le sue ottime potenzialita’.  Oltre a far parte di un progetto inedito di Pop-Rock, gli AudioRed, nel 2007 approda agli Astrophonix.

Marco Di Maggio is considered by the international press as one of the world’s greatest rockin’ guitarist and Simone Di Maggio, even if still very young, recorded two well appreciated albums and he played all over Europe and Asia, both with his band, The Astrophonix and with the Thunder Twins.

This combo proposes a solid repertoire where the two twins guitars are rocking at full speed.

MARCO DI MAGGIO – Considered by the press as one of the best guitarist/singer around the globe. He performed in 16 countries, including Usa, Russia, China, Hong Kong and all over Europe.

He’s released 10 cd’s, 40 compilations,1 instructional video, appearing at top Festivals and Venues, collaborating with over 50 legendary international artists as: Terry Williams (the Dire Straits drummer) and D.J.Fontana (the Elvis’ drummer), just to name a few.

He writes soundtracks and music for jingles,spots and his song “You’ll Be Mine” was featured on the world’s famous Tv series Friends.

From year 2008 he was selected to represent as endorser, the great Gretsch Guitars, thanks to Casale Bauer.

SIMONE DI MAGGIO – Young, talented guitarist/singer, he’s released his first cd “Everybody’s Movin’” at the age of 15 for the german label Vampirella Music and he become soon a great reality into the R’n’R scene, performing at top meetings both in Italy, France, Switzerland, Uk.

Two years later he formed the band The Astrophonix. With this new project he has appeared also at the Eddie Cochran Weekender, Chippenham, Uk, where the local press wrote: “Simone Di Maggio was the best guitarist of this edition”.

The Astrophonix were choosen as opening act for the italian tour of the Meteors and Paul Fenech, the bandleader spent some very good words for them after the show.

MASSIMO CONTI  - After studying with the best italian rock, jazz, pop drummer, Massimo starts various collaborations with different underground bands from Florence: Meridiana, Noia, Progenie, Aliseo, with these bands he’s often on tour around Italy. From ’96 he become member of Compagni Kaspar Hause where he plays the musical “Rocky Horror Picture Show ‘till year 2003.

TOMMASO FAGLIA - Doublebass/Electric bass. Tommaso Faglia (22 years old), is one of the most interesting italian double bass player . After many experiences with many Pop/Rock bands from the underground scene in Italy, Tommaso played for 2 years with Giuseppe Povia, appearing in many international Events like: CocaCola Live @ MTV, Live 8, Top of the Pops Italy and in the best Italian festivals. Later he’s on tour with La Camera Migliore, Train De Vie, Marco Di Maggio. During 2006/2007 he collaborate with some italian r’n’r bands where he starts to play the slappin’ upright bass. Soon he become a very well appreciate r’n’r bassist and he join the Simone Di Maggio’s Astrophonix.
